Apostle Curtis L. Shepherd

Apostle Curtis L. Shepherd, Sr., co-founder with his anointed wife Co-Pastor Paula Shepherd, of Philadelphia Christian Ministries. Apostle Shepherd possesses a wealth of ministerial and leadership experience. He served as a deacon before answering his call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His first assignment was as an associate minister at Beautiful Zion Baptist Church of Napoleonville, La. He later joined the ministerial staff of New Covenant Christian Center of Baton Rouge, La., as an associate minister. He was later called to an Assistant Pastor assignment at Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He has also served as a Youth Pastor and Christian Counselor. He is a former faculty member of Christian Bible College of Baton Rouge where he taught in the American Association of Christian Counselors certification program, Masters of Theology, and the Doctor of Divinity curriculum.

A native of Baton Rouge, Pastor Shepherd loves, honors, and cherishes his marriage to his wife Co-Pastor Paula Shepherd. They have two children, Curtis Jr. and Taylour. They are also devoted grandparents.

His civic affiliations are as follows: Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. where he has served as the former Chaplain of the Baton Rouge Lambda Kappa Kappa Chapter. He has served his community as a an educator in the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, Program Coordinator for the Louisiana Department of Education, Training Director for the LSU School of Medicine Office of Juvenile and Youth Development Program, a Christian Counselor, Project Manager, Educational Consultant, Organizational Development Consultant, and businessman.

Apostle Shepherd is a graduate of Southern University. He holds a Bachelors of Rehabilitation/Psychology, Masters of Arts in Mental Health and Counseling Education, and a Masters of Education in Supervision and Administration. He has obtained a Masters plus 30 and several professional certifications. He also holds a Bachelor of Theology and an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Christian Bible College of Baton Rouge. He is currently the Presiding Bishop of the Unity of the Faith Christian Fellowship organization located in Baton Rouge, LA.

Apostle Shepherd’s life commitment to ministry is evident in his Christian living, his ever-increasing knowledge of God’s word, and his love for God’s people. One of his favorite quotes is “If I can help someone to Christ along the way, then my living shall not be in vain.”
